Koha Chiro

What is Koha Chiro

Koha Chiro provides an opportunity for the Wairarapa community to access chiropractic care through a koha-based service.

The Wairarapa Chiropractic team is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of their community. Koha Chiro is one way the team gives back, making chiropractic care more accessible and helping to improve the overall wellbeing of people throughout the region.
These community clinics have been running since 2021 and continue to grow in popularity and impact.

Koha Chiro clinics are held at Lakeview School 3/4 times each year, on a Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm, bringing the community together in a welcoming and supportive environment.

What happens at Koha Chiro

If you are interested in coming to our Koha Chiro clinic here is a bit more information on the process and how it works

  • You don't need to book! But it is first in first served! Just come along during our opening times (4pm – 6pm)
  • We care for bodies of all shapes and sizes, from pregnant mamas and teeny tiny newborns to 85-year-old Kaumatua and anyone in between.
  • You will be asked to fill out a short form that lets our chiropractors know a bit about you, all information is strictly confidential.
  • You will talk to the chiropractor about your history, and you can ask any questions.
  • If you would like to be adjusted, and there are no reasons why not, you can be, right then and there! The clinic will be in an open-plan space so you can see what happens before you go in!
  • There will be complimentary BBQ, snacks, tea, coffee, orange juice and water available for anyone who would like some! Whether you have been adjusted, you're waiting for whanau or you just want to come down and have a chat about what we do. Our BBQs are kindly sponsored by Homegrown Butchery who supply the amazing sausages and New World Masterton the buns and condiment.
  • Bring the kids! There is chalk for outside, colouring in packs at the tables and a complimentary face painter to keep them busy!
